The two types of
databases you will be using are the library catalog (eLibrary) and
periodical databases.

eLibrary
|
organizes the
materials the
library has available. This includes records for books, journals,
newspapers, magazines,videos and sound recordings. It does not
include articles.

Periodical databases
|
are used to identify
articles on a topic. Cuesta library has two journal databases.
EBSCOhost has articles on most subjects, while SIRS is a social issues
database.

Newspaper databases
|
are used to identify
newspaper articles on a topic. Cuesta library has two newspaper databases.
ProQuest (NNC) indexes national newspapers for world and national news, and Newsbank indexes regional newspaper for local news.
