Newspapers
Newspapers provide
articles each day about current events and are a good source for
local information.
Newspapers,
like journals and magazines, are called "periodicals" because they
are published regularly, or periodically.

Use
a Newspaper
- to find current
information about international, national and local events
- to find editorials,
commentaries, expert or popular opinions
Examples
- Wall Street
Journal
- Los Angeles
Times
- San Luis Obispo Tribune
You can find
newspapers in print or microfilm format, or in Cuesta's newspaper databases,
available from the Library's home page. A few daily newspapers are available
in the library. Many newspapers have their own websites
with today's news, and sometimes they provide earlier, popular articles
free.
