I entered the library school of the University of Denver and immediately knew that I had found a career that would hold my interest for the rest of my life. Not only did I find a career but while pursuing that academic career I found a wonderful wife who graduated with me and has shared my interests and enthusiasms for over 40 years.
The library field has been very good to me and I could not have asked for a more rewarding life. I spent 34 years as a junior high librarian and simultaneously worked for 15 years part-time at Cuesta College as a reference librarian and an instructor in the Library/Information Technology Program. After retirement from my junior high school employment I have continued my active involvement in Cuesta.
My first love is my family, which in addition to my wife, includes 2 children, their spouses, and 5 grandchildren.
My hobbies include auto travel in the United States, reading, gardening, genealogy, learning new information and most importantly, spending time with my grandchildren.
I look forward to the opportunity of meeting new students either in person or virtually as I continue to teach classes and serve as a reference librarian at Cuesta.
