Hello, my name is Kevin Bontenbal and I am the Instructional Technology Librarian at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, California. My position is an interesting one in that half of me serves as a traditional librarian and the other half of me serves as a resource person for faculty who are interested in incorporating technology into their teaching.
I have conducted many workshops and training seminars and presented at several conferences, on evaluating information, technology issues and the Internet, pedagogy-based technology training, and the assessment of student learning characteristics. Some of the conferences I have presented at include; "TechED", "League for Innovation", "CVC", "Internet Librarian", and "Syllabus."
In addition to these activities, I also serve as the college Curriculum Chair and teach the following classes;

I received my Doctorate (Ed.D) in Educational Leadership from the University of Santa Barbara and CSU, Cal Poly, my Masters in Library Science (M.L.S.) from Syracuse University and, my B.A. in Philosophy and Religious Studies from California State University, Chico.
In my spare time I enjoy mountain bike riding and spending time with Jessica (my wife), our three sons, Miles, Max, and Ian, and friends.
