Pocketmedia Film Festival: What’s Your Neighborhood?
Create a short film, win a prize.
Call for art.
What does it mean to you to be part of the neighborhood?
Part of Cuesta College, San Luis Obispo County, your block,
your digital space, your intentional living community, your
flash mob? What are the voices in your community? Where are
your tribes, spaces and places? We are asking for stories
about your neighborhood, however you define it.
Can you tell the story in two minutes or less? The Cuesta
Book of the Year Pocketmedia Film Festival is a phone and
lo-res digital video showcase for the Cuesta and San Luis
Obispo county community (students, faculty, staff, alumni,
and community members). It is your chance to show in a
creative, artistic, or funny way the stories that make your
community what it is.
So, how does it work? Shoot your engaging, exciting story
in a video using a camera that fits in your pocket. Then
email the file to
cuestabook@gmail.com, with the subject "pocketmedia."
Include the the category of your choice: Youth (for
filmmakers who are under 18), Cuesta (for films with a
Cuesta College theme), or Community (for films about other
neighborhoods). We will post your video to a
Posterous space
http://cuestabook.posterous.com/) where everyone can
watch and vote for thier favorite videos and compete for
prizes.
